Kauai Kayak Rentals is a kayak rental company located in Wailua, on the East Side of Kauai. We specialize in renting highest quality kayaks and equipment to Wailua River and Secret Falls.

Kauai's Wailua River is a special place. The only navigable river in the state, the Wailua was once the home of ancient Hawaiian royalty. Today it is an adventurer's playground, snaking through waterfalls, a lava rock grotto and lush jungle forests. The river itself is wide and tranquil
You'll kayak for 5 miles along the Wailua River, hike for about a mile on a newly-installed boardwalk for a much more pleasant and easy experience, until you reach the 100-foot waterfall called Secret Falls where you'll enjoy swimming in the pool, take pictures, have snacks and remember how beautiful life is. The river has no current for the most pleasurable kayaking experience. You will most likely get wet and muddy on your hike. The entire trip takes 4-5 hours.
Bring plenty of water, snacks, towel, hiking or water shoes, hat, sunscreen and most importantly- an adventurous attitude:) We will provide you with everything else you’ll need and a dry bag to put some of your items in.
Kayak rental is $75 per person.
Although previous experience is not necessary, people that want to participate in this adventure should be in MODERATE PHYSICAL CONDITION. No heart problems, bad knees, bad backs, and no large open wounds. Participants should be comfortable in the water and enjoy hiking and physical activity. Participants must be a minimum of 6 years old.
We do not recommend this activity for pregnant and/or older individuals, especially when it has been rainy weather. The trail can be potentially challenging or slippery for someone who is not in good physical shape. If you have doubts, please give us a call and tell us about your situation.
